About Me

For over fifteen years, I have been immersed in web technologies, first experimenting with HTML programming in the mid-1990s, before moving on to PHP, MySQL, Java, and AJAX. For well over ten years, I have also carved my place in the traditional graphic design community, gaining expertise in the Adobe Creative Suite and in graphic, identity, and print design processes and expectations. For the last five years, I've sharpened not only my web and print design skills, but have also worked in traditional and digital printing environments to gain skills and the understanding that only "hands to press" can provide.

Over those years, I’ve been responsible for the design and implementation of thousands of projects. From the artist looking for an online portfolio to showcase her wares, to a company trying to unite their billing and client management functions, to web-based magazines and subscription management tools, I have the demonstrated experience necessary to tackle almost any project.

What unites all of these projects, though, is a commitment to the individual--a commitment to work with you, to learn from you, and to use the tools at my disposal to create the website, the application, or the identity that tells your story.

Design Process

LISTEN

My first step in working with you on your project is to meet with you. This meeting gives me the chance to learn about you, what you do, and what you need your project to convey.

PLAN

After the meeting, I put together a comprehensive plan for your project that includes project costs and deadlines.

CONCEPTS & REVISIONS

Depending on the project size, I can usually delivery concepts within a few days. Once the concept has been approved, I'll begin putting together your new project. Then, we'll work together on revising that first draft until you are satisfied with the result.

DELIVERY

Once the contract is satisfied, I turn the project over to you. But, I'm still here--waiting for your next project or able to help tweak your existing designs.

Expertise

From modifying existing websites, programs, and opensource applications, to designing a print or web-based project, to creating complex internet databases, I bring the knowledge and demonstrable expertise necessary.
